Pinterest Picks: Sewing Tutorials

Howdy ho, junior rangers! (Howdy ho, Ranger Joe!!) ....... Pardon my 90's moment

I hope you have had a good couple of weeks.  It was nice to get away for a little bit.  Now that I'm back though, I've been trying to check things off my to-do list before getting married/moving in a month. One of the biggest things on said list is figuring out how to organize and transport my massive collection of craft supplies.

Now I can't stress enough how immense my collection of crafting junk is. I've been crafting since I was little, and if I find anything (and I mean ANYTHING) that I think I can use for crafting at some point I keep it. I'm like a borderline hoarder, but only when it comes to crafting stuff. I also am going to have to seriously downsize my stash.

The whole point of this post was to say that over the weekend while I was starting to sort through all my junk I found my fabric stash! I also cleaned off enough of my desk/ sewing machine to pull the sewing machine back out.

I'm not a seamstress by any means. I know the basics and that is it. I can thread the machine and bobbins. I can stitch forward and backward in a few basic stitches. I know absolutely nothing about actually sewing something anyone in their right mind would want to wear. However, we all know that isn't going to stop me from trying.

Thankfully, you can find and teach yourself just about anything thanks to the handy dandy internet.

Here are just a few tutorials I found via Pinterest that I hope to try out in the future:

Child's Play Wings:

via Llevo el invierno

I know that kids aren't (hopefully) going to be in my future for a couple of years or so, but these are so cute! I would have absolutely loved to have these as a kid.  I was the kid who ran around with a towel around her neck as a cape... you're telling me I could have had wings!? Check out the awesome and simple tutorial over at Llevo el Invierno

Double Layer Square Circle Skirt Tutorial

Via Make it & Love it

This is one of the cutest little  skirts I've seen. I also have to say that it happens to be one of the easiest tutorials I've seen.  You can also very easily adjust the length or size. You can even make one for your adult self if you want to. Check out the tutorial over at Make it & Love it!

Bow Clutch Tutorial

via Elm Street Life

This clutch looks so simple and elegant!  I also don't think it looks horribly complicated or anything. I'm pretty excited to give this one a try! Check out the full tutorial at Elm Street Life.

Pillow Covers with Invisible Zippers

via Aesthetic Nest

This tutorial is just a fantastic one to have on file.  I plan on making about a billion pillows once it comes time to decorate the new house. Give it a checkity check over at Aesthetic Nest!

If you have any great sewing tutorials that you think I should check out, PLEASE let me know!
