Pinterest Picks: 3/20/13

Hey, all!

I officially have two months until my wedding. Can I tell you how freakin' excited I am for it to be the day AFTER the wedding?!  I am not really looking forward to this wedding at all. Don't get me wrong I'm ecstatic for the marriage... just not the actual wedding.

My fiance and I just aren't the kind of people who like to be the center of attention. In fact, we've stripped the ceremony down the the bare minimum, mostly because we are simple people, but also because we don't want to be standing up in front of everyone for very long.

The other reason I'm really looking forward is to the day after the wedding is because it means I don't have to make anymore crafts for the wedding. For the last 5 months or so, the only crafting I've had time to do is wedding stuff. I'm sure my fellow artistic peeps can vouch for the fact that when you HAVE to work on something in particular, all you want to do is work on something else.  Eh, maybe it's just me.  My creativity is never higher than it is when I'm working on a commission or certain project. I cannot tell you how many awesome ideas for crafts I've had in these last 5 months. I'm dying to work on something else!

Another bonus for after the wedding is that I'll have time to blog more often than once a week. So you can look forward to more posts, plus tons of awesome, non-wedding, related crafts. Get excited, DANG IT!!!

Alright, enough of my life... onto some tutorials!!

Because I'm working on my centerpieces (and also working on a massive tutorial that isn't finished yet) and being a bit lazy.... it's time for once again.... *drumroll* *drops drum sticks* *throws them out of frustration*

It's Pinterest Picks TIME!!

*insert the Price is Right theme song*

Okay... enough shtick...

"Friar Tuck" Hair-Curling Tutorial:

via Aunie Sauce
This isn't exactly a craft, but it's an awesome DIY that I can't wait to try.  I have long fine hair that I just can't find the patience to actually curl with a curling iron.  I also really like the fact that you don't use heat with this tutorial. Go check it out over at Aunie Sauce she has a video and very detailed instructions. She has made it super simple.

Gold Glitter Tipped Feathers:

via Ryan+Michelle+Ellie

This is one of those crafts that goes into my category of "how the heck am I really going to use this?"
To which I answer... "don't care it's glittery!"  I have no idea where I would use these but I'm still kind of in love with them! Check out the tutorial here!

Painted Rocks:

This is another one of those crafts that I have no idea what I would actually do with the finished product, but again... don't care... they're cute. Honestly, I'd probably just paint a bunch and put them in a cute bowl and call it decoration. I've also seen people glue magnets to the back and make them fridge magnets. Just Imagine has a bunch of examples and tips to help you paint some rocks.

DIY Tulle Skirt Tutorial:

via Cotton & Curls

Now I'm not completely sure I could pull this skirt off in reality... but it is just so darn CUTE! I want a knee length one, and a long one, one in pink and one in gray! I want about a dozen, and I would wear them everywhere! If you want to know exactly how to make this skirt scoot on over to Cotton & Curls to find the tutorial!

Alright, all! That is about it for today's Pinterest picks. I've got to go work on my centerpieces! I hope you are all doing well!
